Kalamazoo is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Kalamazoo follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Great place to swim and walk scenic trails. Has picnic tables but no shade. Pavilions are always reserved. Nice playgrounds, clean bathrooms. Goose waste, biting flies can be a nuisance. Offers camping with modern showers.

Beautiful park. We have had several family reunion events there. I planned a birthday party bbq for my oldest son. We had our Bluetooth speaker with us on low and when the park attendant came by, she told us the speaker was not allowed and we had to remove it. The other shelter party had music as well. What is a party without music, especially if its not loud or disruptive to others. We ultimately felt harassed as the staff kept driving around and coming into our party to change trash cans that werenβt full. We will use another venue next time. Wish I had known before I paid my money to book it.

We've been coming for about 5 years now and we love this park! This is our favorite place to walk our dog. Staff maintain the trails and paths well, even through winter. Near Kal-Haven and the nature center.

Great place to bring the family for a day of hiking, swimming and grilling. Plenty to do for the little ones with their 2 playgrounds and sandy beach as well as several fishing piers for catch and release in the stocked stream fed lake. If you're into mountain biking there are 5 miles of beginner to advanced trails including some pretty gnarly "Rocks & Roots" type trails. * Addition: Today my dog and I decided to check out the park on the "other" side of the road and I wish I could say don't bother but I just can't lie so.... I really wanted to keep this info to myself but i wouldn't be able to sleep if I did that. The other park is AMAZING! If you like secluded private, quiet, hidden, retro type outdoor places that are tucked back in the woods literally looking like a forgotten time. I was so surprised after we walked 1/4 mile back into the woods and found this place and I'm not kidding it's even got a playground with a steel slide straight out of 1982!! What a treasure!!

I actually found this place on accident. I was searching for places to walk or relax, and I didn't see this place listed, but while driving I stumbled on this place. I have to say that this is beautiful; it's quite, it's peaceful, there's various spots that you can sit away to just think and relax. It's dog friendly; dogs have plenty of space to run around, play and have fun. I love the fact that there is also a park for kids to play, let alone they also have a small Beach like display which to me seems so calming. There is multiple picnic areas, and there's a restroom that's available also. There's also a softball field and a tennis court. As I stated this park simply is set up to have multiple activities for various occasions. This park is very spacious, I love it! I think I found a new spot!
